Misdemeanor Charges

Misdemeanors are less severe than felonies but still carry legal consequences. In Texas, there are three main classes:

  • Class A Misdemeanor: The most serious misdemeanor level (e.g. DWI, assault causing bodily injury). Punishable by up to 1 year in jail and/or a $4,000 fine.

  • Class B Misdemeanor: Includes first-time DWI, possession of small amounts of marijuana. Punishable by up to 180 days in jail and/or a $2,000 fine.

  • Class C Misdemeanor: Minor offenses (e.g. public intoxication, disorderly conduct). Usually punishable by a fine only, up to $500.

Though lower in severity, misdemeanors can still impact employment, records, and future legal standing — and bail support helps move quickly.

Drug Possession (Low-Level)

This includes small-quantity possession of controlled substances or marijuana. While less severe than felony charges, they still require fast legal response to avoid jail time and future complications.

2

Theft (Misdemeanor-Level)

Commonly known as petty theft, this covers the unlawful taking of property valued below a certain threshold (varies by state). Quick bail ensures you don’t spend unnecessary time in custody.

3

DUI & DWI

Driving under the influence (DUI) or while intoxicated (DWI) can lead to license suspension, fines, or jail. We help secure fast release so clients can begin working on their defense right away.

4

Family Violence

These charges include assault or abuse involving spouses, partners, or household members. Though they may be misdemeanors, they carry serious legal and personal consequences. We help loved ones reunite while the legal process unfolds.
